This song is so amazing and it puzzles me how amazing it is everytime I hear it. Something about the harmonies, the chorus is so beautiful but you can't quite narrow it down to one riff or melody, it's the whole thing.

it's the only song on exit i do not like. i guess i'm alone on this. anyways, it's just an opinion...

I don't know names like, but I like all the thingy album except the first track, still. That first one always makes me think of Jools Holland.

not totally alone. I mean it's not that i don't like it, but it's for some reason the song i haven't heard the most off of AFDtE.

hmm, now that i'm listening to it live, it's definitely a good song, but it doesn't touch me as much as some others do on the album.

Nah i'm with you. Though my opinion is closer to Morpheus' . And the beginning of Looking Outside Inside bores me a little too !

agree :hotjump:

suddenly i feel so much love for you all... :Spin:

and stop shooting pressure. it's a decent track.

some tracks on the album just seemed awkward.i was shocked like.and said"what do we do now?".so i put the cd aside and then decided to give it a second chance after them concert in january.the songs sounded 10 times better live.i liked the album in the end but still skip some tracks at times.

im quite turned off by the lyrics like.i loved that dark, depressed and straight forward thingie in the previous albums,so these quite vague,at times, lyrics just didnt touch me like the good old days
thats my biggest turn-off about the gathering as well.the lyrics just dont make sense to me,tho the music is divine:( ok everybody, rip me eyes off now,im ready:ill:

I love the lyrics on the album, for example, Pressure's lyrics are ace. It's just the perfect description of what I feel sometimes:

Mouth tastes of sick
Stomach twisting inside
Everything's wrong
And I can't get away
The gravity of fear
You can feel it coming near
It's coming straight for you
It'll twist and drag you down

I think it's rather depressive as it is, though I admit there's a certain contradiction between the words of the verses and the music, because, in spite of all the apparent hopelessness in the words, I find this song pretty optimistic, maybe for that single line "I don't care where you go, you won't get away from me", and the music, of course, I just love this desperate hope thing.

And others like "hold on behind those grey and lonely eyes" (and to me, please, of course :)), not to mention "beyond this beautiful horizon" and all that stanza, aaaaaaaaah.

All in all, I think there's a good mixture of hopelessness and hope on AFDTE, and I expect the new album to be like that too.

ah i remember going to the concert to see anathema for the first time,i was like hypnotised.hadnt slept for 2 nights like,i obtained stomach problems since that day,cos i was so blown away by the thought id see them....good days them...

so by the time they come out i leave me mates and push myself at the front.ok i got a bit spanked in empty(first song),but got more excited then haha.it was like just me staring and them playing..needless to say i broke down in a couple of tracks:( Leave no trace and Temporary peace.

what a hell lot of things that day was.and i could not know before...what a storm of changes it brought, that carved my conscience and my life forever.

(emotional intellectual?thats what you liked tho)
