Dallas and San Antonio play tonight and they are the most affected by the seeding this year, other then that I don't see why anyone would complain.
i know i'd be biased, but i honestly think there is some conspiracy to keep the Spurs from doing well or being popular outside of SA. Probably because, in all reality, this city is a tiny media market and were obviously not drawing many fans from elsewhere in Texas with Dallas and Houston right there, so if the Spurs proceed to win the next 6 or 7 championships (as i predict they will
) it would significantly decrease intrest in other markets across the country, and therefore a major loss of profits. The two biggest markets in the world, LA and New York, already completely suck.
my biggest problem: Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan get no credit. I'd put Manu on the list of the 5 best 2-guards in the league (kobe, mcgrady even though he's playing SF this year, ray allen, and vince carter), but nobodies talking about him. He's the best ball player the non-US world has ever produced in my mind, with the obvious exception of Dirk Nowitzki who's some insane descendant of Odin or something.
And Timmy, after all this time, still doesnt get his respect. He is without a doubt in my mind the greatest PF in the history of the league, but people put him in the same category as modern PFs like Rasheed and Garnett who are on the second rung of history. Tim is up there with Karl Malone and Larry Bird and about 3 other guys. In 1997, Tim Duncan was drafted by the worst team in the league. In 1999, that team won the Championship. Not to mention 2 more (so far). Sheed and Kevin can't claim that.
I'm ranting.
GO SPURS GO.
