bass dist. plugin?

what do you guys use for plugin putting a bit of (distorted) edge on the bass so it is a bit more clear in the mix? I heard some people say they use WarpVST on it; but what are your favourites?

Izotope's Trash works, but I really like Massey's THC. It's especially awesome in front of Ampeg SVX on DI tracks.

i've used sansamp psa-1 plug that i really like. not tried anything else though...

I like Helian 2nd Bass with my POS Peavey's DI track. Gives it a bit of that "Ric growl" even when clean, and the distortion's not too bad on it.

+1! I use this thing all the time. It makes it really easy to get that growl. (and it's freeware)

Haven't tried CamelCrusher. I'll have to get that a try.

Camel Crusher, CamelPhat Free, Ampeg SVX Uno, Massey THC, they're all great and free.
I haven't found anything like a Boss Bass Overdrive pedal yet, I've got one, just can't be bothered to hook it up when mixing. That or my Sansamp pBDI would be my favorite for bass distortion.

CamelCrusher is the only link that's worked for me so far. All the other ones seem to have broken download links, and the Massey one is RTAS only.
