Bass strings for stupid low tunings...

Ok well not stupid low, Drop B (4 string) for basses is a bitch to get correct gauges for as the highest gauge strings available at music shops is 55-110. My question is would a 125 be thick enough for a low B (DR DDT series makes a 65-125) or would I have to justify adding 6 USD just to buy a 5 string set to get a 130 or 135?

Damn, the DR DDT is a little more than a 5 string set of Ernie Ball at least online...actually I'm not even sure any local stores around hear carry the DDT for bass.

You bassist really get fucked on string gauges.

i use 125 85 65 45 and i play in B and Bb. it sounds punchy and bassy and full
