No contest at all for me.
Purple hands down.
Have all their shit...... They were my fave band for many years, seen them live about 8 times or so. Met them all.. great guys.

Machine Head, In Rock, Fireball, Who do we think we Are, Burn, Come Taste the Band, Perfect Strangers, Stormbringer, Purpendicular etc.

Now with Morse in the band they are awesome again. A shame that Jon Lord left, and I need a new friggen album!!

HEATHENS!!

And probably a few others I'm forgetting. Sure, Deep Purple had the Voice of Rock, Glenn Hughes, but I can't go past Def Leppard.

Oh, and Sprucey, are you going to include Savatage as well? Just remembered them!

Purple ........ but I was gunna Vote Def Leppard to be spiteful as sabbath only got 1 Vote on their poll ..........damm buggery shit poo etc

DEF LEPPARD!!!

High N Dry, Pyromania and Hysteria are 3 of the best rock albums EVER released. EVER!

And how awesome is the In The Round video?

They should've made a live album out of it! The songs sound soooo good on it!

Has the best sound production I've ever heard for a concert.

In the Round rules! I love the stage..its just so 80s with those fluro stripes haha

One thing I can never work out is how the hell did they tape it..I mean the stage was in the middle of an arena yet you can never see any cameras anywhere. Is this just tricky editing or what?

Hehehe yeah it'd be hard! It said on the back of the case it was a challange to direct. I'd say most of the cameras would've been on the floor out of view and the others on cherry pickers, probably co-ordinated very well not to get in each other's view.

I saw Def Leppard in the round in 1992. Great show, but unfortunately there were A LOT of empty seats which was the only downer. Oh, and the support act was BB Steal. I wonder what happened to them.

Nah Wayne Isham directed it. He is a master director obviously. He's directed concert videos, video clips and long form videos for sooo many hard rock bands. Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Kiss I think... I can't even remember now but I know I have about 10 music videos here that are directed by him.
