hey i was checking for some bands yesterday and i came across Battlelores, i listened to one song of 'em and i find it pretty awseome. I just want a general opinion about them. Oh and do they tour in Quebec some times?

I liked them actually. I'm a Tolkien fiend and the music isn't too bad.

I hear more techno in this bullshit than Power Metal. Fuck off nowadays Power Metal.

You'd sound a little more credible if you even knew what you were saying. Its industrial not techno.

I'm a huge Tolkien fan, but Battlelore... no thanks. I'll stick to Summoning if I want to hear about Tolkien.

They're not even power metal 60 or something percent of the time. They can't fucking decide what to be. Goofy over-the-top gothic/industrial/melo-death/power novelty shit. Fucking stupid. Sword's Song is fun for about 3 seconds.

If you like one song, you'll probably like em all. Go buy the CD.

As with anything you should probably let your own tastes dictate your choice, some of the empty vessels here will just shout you down for liking anything as unpretentious as Battlelore.

unpretentious

Unpretentious?! OMEN is unpretentious. This band is as pretentious as Rhapsody, Opeth, Theatre Of Tragedy and Rammstein mixed together. Which is exactly what it sounds like.

That's totally incorrect. None of their songs sound similar to the ones directly preceeding or after them, they're completely lacking flow. Pointless fun metal for people who don't like real metal yet. Just give it time. If you like them, you like them, but I guarantee they won't be one of those bands you like forever.

Haha unpretentious. So unpretentious in fact, that they think they can fit five bazillion ideas in the context of an entire CD.

That's totally incorrect. None of their songs sound similar to the ones directly preceeding or after them - I'm sorry mate, that is bollocks : Gruff male vocals, some keyboardy stuff, female vocals, mix and match, you have a bunch of Battlelore songs. I defy anyone with an open mind to listen to Sword's Song and tell me that no songs sound similar to any either side of em.

Pointless fun metal for people who don't like real metal yet - Are you saying that metal can't be fun? Get your head outta your arse for long enough to realise that you ain't the final adjudicator on 'real metal'.

If you term it 'fun metal' then you can hardly, in the next breath scoff at me calling them unpretentious, unless you need help understanding what you are evidently struggling to read.

I'm sure that people create accounts and ask for opinions on bands, just to see you guys pour scorn upon them. I know I anxously await your attempts to be cool.

Where the Shadows Lie wasnt so good, but Swords Song is way better.
I think you need the right atmosphere to listen to it.
