Honestly, its a shithole, definately a step (or two...or three) down from BB Kings, but they seem to be the only place in NYC that gets underground metal bands (Ive seen SyX, Nightwish, and Angra there).

To me this sounds like nothing more than a smoke alarm. Worse case scenario: I'm sure they'll play L'Amours instead. I seriously doubt that Symphony X would miss an opportunity to greet their NYC fanbase.

Symphony X should be play with B.B. King, they sound quite a bit alike.

You know what else would be a cool venue for SX? The Bowery Ballroom. I was just there the other night to see Reverend Horton Heat and I think it's a perfect place for SX. It holds about 800 people (well 795, according to the sign I saw while making mental notes of fire exits), has two enormous bars, a wrap-around balcony and a downstairs lounge area with a bar. The sound is fantastic, too. From what I understand, though, it's a hard place to book, but if BB King's was willing to book SX, I don't see why the Bowery Ballroom wouldn't.

I think you'd be suprised, when I saw them in Worcester there were at least around 500 there or more, it was decently filled up from what I recall.

No, that was headlining. When I saw them with BG it was a crowd of about 1000.
