BBC news: Rock guitarist Gary Moore dies

Mr Moore, 58, was, originally from Belfast, and was a former member of the legendary Irish group Thin Lizzy.


Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Seems he was on vacation in Spain. R.I.P. Gary and thanks for all the great music.

All I know for now is that he died in his sleep while being on vacation in Spain. They found him dead in his hotel room this morning.

This is awesome, Hawk!
I always loved Gary's fiery style, he always brought much to the table with his playing. Another one of the greats is gone, may he rest in peace!

Damn! What a shock. I never got to see him live. He is/was such a huge influence on me. His last albums were fantastic. I was eagerly waiting for a new album from him.
