BC Rich body art series

i've been looking around for decent entry-level guitars recently & i think i'm about to invest in the BC Rich body art series. anyone here tried these guitars? maybe some insight? thanks in advance...

i've noticed that these guitars have a rather impressive tone even with stock BC Rich humbuckers. it's definitely much better feature-wise than the signature Kerry King/ Mick7 guitars, especially the string thru' body of the former. i'm not too keen on the art work though...

IMO BC Rich made a mistake giving such excellent paint jobs to such low series guitars, if im not mistaken (which i usually am) the body art series are platinum series spec, so if you dont like the art, just get a platinum series BC, you'll save some money and ull get ur simple bog standard finish, though i think there are some beasts due and there arent such things as platinum beasts, maybe theyre NJ series hmmm.

But yer ur answer is, get a platinum series if u cant afford an NJ series.

IMO the body art series sound a little tighter than the platinum series (the string thru' body models). maybe it's attributable to the layer of artwork that gives it more bass.
