Doesnt matter how true you are you will be constanly compared to your previous band/s . Look at Emperor(great) who spawned Peccatum(I like but everyone I know hates) and Zyklon(ditto) and.......Mortiis(who is getting the idea of music now.)

the beatles had great bass dude. They showed the world that a good bass line can be simple and fuel the most outstanding guitar riffs. Complexity through simplicity, genius. there would be no rock without the beatles so therefore i would also conclude there would be no metal either.

I agree that the beatles were overrated. Not exactly the most talented band in the world. Granted they could write catchy songs, but so can britney spears. I'll give them credit because without them there'd be no sabbath, and thus no metal. However, doesn't mean i have to say they're even a decent band. I hate just about every song they ever made. Cheesy pop crap IMO. but hey if you like 'em more power to ya, whatever.
