This brand new release ("The unexpected") attracted my attention becouse of the Belgian female vocalist. Drummer Uli Kusch from Masterplan also recretuted the guitarist and bass player from Pagan's Mind. This is one of the first times I can say Belgium has a good vocalist on a great record (finally !!). Music is melodic Metal in the vein of Masterplan. Some songs are a bit heavier than Masterplan, some are more soft and more commercial like Jorn's "Duke" album. I'm sure alot of people here will like this album and it even could end up in their 2006 top 10 !!

I've been playing the hell out of this one for a while now. Jorn Lofstadt is a pretty cool guitarist and comes up with some cool riffs and solos. He's also part of Jorn's live band so he'll be at Prog Power this year. I'm not sure if he was part of the studio band for "The Duke" though.
Beautiful Sin and Benedictum are right next to each other on my MP3 player so I usually play them back to back. Not bad that way.
