He plays really well, just his live performance is quite cocky and i get the "watch me how i play this better than you"' kinda vibe. Gets to me a bit.

Looks like an ampeg svt 'something' pro, korg tuner and BBE max in his rack. Not sure if that made the album.

You can actually get a simple DI track to sound like that with a good sounding bass with new strings (and a good DI of course).

They're solid players in that band, I'll give them that much credit, but I am really really bored by their riffs, melodies, harmonies, and songwriting. I mean, do they not even realize that they base multiple songs off that whole "open/eighth fret" pattern? And the amount of bands who write songs around that pattern is so unbelievably staggeringly high, it just baffles me that people keep doing it and doing it and doing it...
