I think Zos Kia Cultus is unbelievable, and one of the best brutal death metal CD's in a long time. I was really excited to hear Demigod, but I feel they totally lost something there. It just seemed one dimensional, and got boring really fast. Thelma 6 had some weak songs in the middle, but the beginning and ends were really good.

As far as recommending - Atrocity's latest release "Atlantis" has the same crushing guitar sound (it really does sound just like Behemoth), only more thrash/melody to their songs. To me, it's a lot more listenable. They also combine 80's David Bowie-ish sounds in a few songs for a nice twist that works. Defintiely not "brutal" in all the songs, but in a lot...just a very innovative and underrated albumn.

I agree.

I think you are making zos to be better than it was though. The album was neat, usually i'm not into polished death metal either. Demigod sounded like leftovers.
