Behringer Bass V-AMP

I play bass in a three-piece band. Problem is when the guitarist solos, the bottom end drops and IMO sounds like shit so that the drummer becomes noisier during solos to compensate. I am thinking of purchasing the Behringer Bass V-Amp so that I can switch to a better tone for guitar solos. I will aslo use it to record through. Anyone here have a similar situation and anyone with experience of the Behringer Bass V-Amp care to comment?

youre not gonna get better tone from a behringer. what are you playing now?

ive been really impressed with GK lately, and im currently switching brands (from ashdown). GKs are rather inexspensive. you should look into it

Running the bass guitar straight through a basic Fender Bassman amp. I basically need something that will make me sound like a rhythm guitarist but with a deeper sound for the duration of the lead guitarist's solos.
