hey. this is probably quite a boring question but I was just about to buy the Behringer V-Amp 2 when I noticed that the Line 6 Pod II is only £120 (V-amp is £70) and I thought I'd ask for any advice/ opinions that you have to offer.

The price isn't that important I just basically want what ever's best for home recording a range of styles of music directly into a PC.

vamp2 pisses all over pod 2. BUT, I've already outgrown it after a year so if you have the cash go for the podxt which is a big step up from either one.

cheers for the reply! I'll probably go with the V-amp as If I consider the PodXT then I'll have to look at all the other stuff in that range, e.g Vox Tonelab etc.
ALso it's not as if I've made a terrible life changing decision if I get the V-amp and then get the Pod next year or something!

im partial to the pod, because it actually sounds good through a good power amp.

You'll like the vamp. For the cash it can't be beat and I've certainly enjoyed mine up till now.
