Best album so far i 2003 ?

King Crimson - The Power To Believe

I doubt anything this year will top it, but I'm plenty open to any contenders.

I hated Naglfar's new CD Sheol. There worst cd to date I thought. Personally the best CD of 2003 for me hasn't come out yet. CoB I didnt like. Sethian is an ok release and its up there as one of the better releases but nothing that keeps me playing the CD for 3 months or more. I am really waiting for a new Stormlord CD to come out at the end of the year and next year Dissection's new CD....Thats going to be huge!

So far this year my faves are:

1. Children Of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll
2. Cradle Of Filth - Damnation And A Day
3. Helloween - Rabbit Don't Come Easy
4. Marduk - World Funeral
5. Voivod - Voivod
6. Opeth - Damnation
7. Darkthrone - Hate Them (easily their best album imfo)
8. Naglfar - Sheol

I have yet to pick these up and I am really looking forward to them:

Anthrax - We've Come For You All
Enslaved - Below The Lights
Tomahawk - Mit Gas
The Haunted - One Kill Wonder

And these are the albums I think are gonna rule 2003:

Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden
Iron Maiden - ????
Into Eternity - Buried In Oblivion
Dimmu Borgir - ????

My list so far...

Darkest Hour "Hidden Hands Of A Sadist Nation"
The Haunted "One Kill Wonder"
Lamb Of God "As The Palaces Burn"
Evanescence "Fallen" (yeah yeah I know!)
Vital Remains "Dechristianize"
Suppression "Throw The Piranha (Into The Gene Pool)"

As of now... we'll see about the new Nevermore album

Hey don't apologize for that. Evanescence might be what lights a fire under female vocalists that want to sing metal. People complained about my Evan post and quoted Lacuna Coil and Nightwish, but neither band can hang with Amy's vocals (though the music is much better.) I'm not saying those two vocalists are bad by any stretch of the imagination, but I am talking about power in their voice. In the late 70's and early 80's Ann Wilson and Stevie Nicks could hold their own against the male counterparts in rock music, but in 2K metal, there aren't really any female vocalists with that dominance and it's about time we get some.

Thanks! I'm listening to them now as a matter of fact... the first album... I really hate it when everyone assumes the entire album will be like that song they did with whoever it was as their single. That's easily the worst song on the CD and I've even grown to accept it.
