after listening to children of bodom for about 3 years, i cant decide there best album or song. each album is as mind blowing as the last and each song is just pure power metal geneous. talk about bodoms history with me and help me decide.

hmm...I donno what really you wanted to know...but here are mine great albums and songs on them:

Something Wild - Lake Bodom

Hatebreeder - Silent night, Bodom Night

Follow The Reaper - Hate Me!

Hate Crew Deathroll - Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood

but I can't make a decidion, too....because there is no song which could be bad...they are all just the best!!!!

see ya

you would say hate me from follow. i would say that children of decadence is better than that. hate me is good tho. that physco intro. i like towards dead end from hatebreeder i love the way that killer rif kicks in after the drum roll. but warhearts is a emence song from hb. and downfall. for fuck sake i just cant make up my mind. and then theres both red light in my eyes from sw, most of hcdr is fucking mindblowing and...........................................................................................fuck it. children of bodom are just the best band in the world.

If it came down to choosing (which it never will) I'd choose the following:

Something Wild: In the Shadows

Hatebreeder: Towards Dead End

Follow the Reaper: Mask of Sanity

Hate Crew Deathroll: Either Bodom Beach Terror or Hate Crew Deathroll.

NP: Arch Enemy - Stigmata

Something Wild - Lake Bodom; Red Light In My Eyes Part I; Touch Like Angel Of Death

Hatebreeder - Silent night, Bodom Night; Downfall; Bed Of Razors

Follow The Reaper - Everytime I Die, Hate Me!, Follow The Reaper

Hate Crew Deathroll - Angels Don't Kill, Needled 24/7, Hate Crew Deathroll

to who ever said children of bodom were not power metal.
how can you not call cob power metal. fast rifs, blistering solos, vilont vocals that pretty power metal to me. maybe you and i have different difinitions of power metal. what bands would you call power metal.

IMO, CoB's best album:

- Hate Crew Deathroll, by far one of the best albums I've heard, EVER.

And the best song, Hate Me! The day I hear this song live, I will piss all over my pants, this song rules!! !
totally agree with you, man!!!

just that I didin't be on a concert yet...but this year I am gonna...and hope to see there Hate me!...wow I cannot wait. this song really kicks ass in live version!!!:rock:

Wtf? What do YOU think is power metal man... power metal is bands like Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, old Pantera (before Cowboys From Hell), Hammerfall, Helloween, etc etc... one of power metal's most distinguishing features is it's high-pitched clean vocals. Alexi has the high-pitched part, but he screams and growls too...

CoB has healthy doses of death, black, lots of thrash (esp. now), power (not as much now), even some prog if ya got down to it... please don't try to label CoB under one of these labels, and if ya do just call them 'progressive thrash' or something more accurate... :) And the power metal solo-fests of FtR aren't on HCD... HCD has solos scattered throughout the songs instead of big solo duels and duets like before.

Hmm fav album/song?

SW - Touch Like Angel of Death, of course!
HB - Hmm... Black Widow
FtR - Mask of Sanity probably
HCD - You're Better Off Dead!

I wouldn't exactly consider CoB black or death metal. That's in my classifications chart. I don't even consider Death to be death metal. Bands like Deicide and Cannibal (who can suck my ass) I classify as death and/or black metal. So in my eyes, I don't listen to death/black metal.

1. Hate Crew Deathroll (This rules! :flame: )
2. Hatebreeder
3. Something Wild
4. Follow The Reaper (This sucks! :zombie: )

1. Bodom Beach Terror
2. Silent Night, Bodom Night
3. Deadnight Warrior
4. Bed Of Razors
5. Hate Me!
6. You're Better Of Dead
7. Touch Like Angel Of Death
8. Warheart
9. Hate Crew Deathroll
10. Lake Bodom

SS4... I never said CoB was death or black. The entire point of my post was that putting them under one label is stupid. I just meant they had influences from death and black, as well as other types of metal. They are just arbitrary labels anyway, so it's all bullshit... that's why I said "progressive thrash"... it's the best label I could come up with.

and conserning cob being put into a genra of metal, i think that alot of us have different deffinations of what different genras are so lets just call cob metal. there are on of those bands who cant be catagorised.
