Best invest - need recommend

Hey guys,
Jobs are going nicely and I have some cash which I want to use for some new gear.
Amongst others, Im thinking about a good mic-pre to improve the quality of tracking DI's, cab micing and vox.
My current setup is the Saffire 56 + Pro 40(when needed 16 Ins for Drums etc.).
Was interestd in the API 512C but it really sucks to buy this stupid, expensive lunchbox...

There are single rack space housings for lunchbox units...

You can fit 2 units in there, and last time I checked, were going for less than 200 euros.

Dude in the next two weeks I'll be buy a BL B12a API clone. I'll let you know how it rolls...

Careful with the 2 slot unit, I read it only fits some lunchbox modules and the 512c's (and a few other pre's/EQs etc) are too wide. Some people said the early models don't fit but the newer ones fit but I wouldn't rely on that. I'd look out for a used API A2D if I were you

Thanks for the info...But I think I will try these Black Lion clones at first.
