Best Kevin Smith movie?

Definatley Clerks because i think we can all relate to that one lol Definately dark halarious humour at its best told in the reality of all of our simple lives lol Dogma was pretty good too, But Clerks wins it with me

Hmm, I think Clerks, 'cause the way it's made is so cool (shot mostly in the store on a budget of something like 4 dollars). But the over-the-top dialogue in Mallrats is really good.
Got to love that "call me Joey...don't make me get loose......call me Donny......please don't go, girl" bit, too

There's 3 classic movies here, and its pointless to compare them.
Clerks, Chasing Amy and Dogma are all BRILLIANT in there own particular idiom. Mallrats is worth a look but shouldn't even be considered, and Jay & Silent Bob (whilst it has a few clever moments) was a waste of time (for the fans, not the producers who woulda no doubt made some extra cash for themselves).

Hmmm, ~afterthought~, having now seen the current "poll", I'm now aware that "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" got more votes than "Chasing Amy". That's FUCKING embarrassing!!! One was a real good movie, the other (Jay & Silent Bob) was designed to appeal to ferals. It's just that i woulda expected it (Jay & Silent Bob) to poll real well on a Britney forum...not a metal forum.

Jay & Silent Bob was funny, but more in a "let's cuss a lot" way. The dialogue in Clerks was classic the whole way through, and even moreso in Dogma... pure innuendo, which was awesome.

Luckily, people are entitled to have opinions of their own, even on a metal forum. There's nothing embarrasing about the fact that JASBSB gets more votes than Amy. I like Amy more, but that doesn't mean I will start insulting people with references to Britney forums. I'm too old to do that. I'm not 10 years old anymore.

Oh, I couldn't agree more my friend. People ARE entitled to opinions of their own, and i just expressed mine! Sure the Britney reference sounds insulting, i grant you that and apologize for any offence taken, but was meant in jest, and to maybe even get a rise outta someone (as i think most people over 10 years old would've realized). Still, once again, i'm sorry it upset you. I'd like to say it wont happen again but, goddamn it, it prolly will sooner or later!

Well, unfortunately (apparently, everyone's loving it) I haven't seen Clerks. Nor have I seen Chasing Amy. But of the rest of his films, I'd have to say JSBSB. It's childish humor, there's a lot of cussing and stuff, I'll agree, but I still laughed my ass off the first time I saw it.

Wow, just wait until you see those two movies, then you'll REALLY laugh at Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back! Kevin Smith called it "the biggest in-joke movie ever made" and he's right. Half of the movie is taken from Clerks and Chasing Amy. Enjoy!

chasing amy was horrible. 2 of the worst actors ever staring in a movie is not a good thing. the acting in the new school saved by the bell was better than the acting in chasing amy. the new darth vader is a better actor than both jason lee and bed assflack put together. how sad.

I'd have to go with Clerks...Chasing Amy is a pretty close second...I can relate with some of the subject matter. All of Kevin Smith's movies are great. Although, I didn't care for Mallrats or J&SBSB as much. Still good films, though.

I also recommend the Clerks animated series...some funny stuff.
