Live After Death with Iron Maiden from 1985 is the live album of all times.

It's the live album of all times, just ahead of Slayer ( I had to toss a coin to be honest  ).................................on THIS list!! So I voted for it, rather than voting for "others". What "other" you ask? Soulburner hit the nail firmly on the head when he mentioned Deep Purple's "Made In Japan"!!!

Like a few others who've posted here already, I'm not a huge fan of "Live" recordings and rarely bother with them, but I went out of my way to add "Made In Japan" to my collection.
~simply the best~

Honourable mention to Rush's "Show Of Hands", although Maiden & Slayer would've still beaten 'em.

Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East is by far and way the best live album on this list... It's definitely up there next to Ozzy Osbourne's Speak of the Devil.

:heh:

Deicide "When Satan Lives" easily... They play all the good tracks and are noncompromising all the way (=?)...

Fuck it rules!!!

NP: Deicide - "Dead By Dawn" (Live)

Man! They plays like Gods, but this album SUCKS. The production is.... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. One of the worst albums I've heard. (I LOVE IN FLAMES)
It's INTENDED to sound like that, it's meant to be a real live album, not some live-recorded-studio-mixed-studio-sound album. And it's a good album with good sound still :p

I was the first to vote for "other" and the glory goes to The P-Funk All-Stars and their double lp "Live at the Beverly Theater in Hollywood". Recorded in 1983, but not released until 1990. Also features the best drummer EVER imo, Dennis Chambers!!!

Ahhh, I see based on the current vote count that the Bodom fanboys have been here...

I voted Iron Maiden: Live After Death. It doesn't get much better than that as far as live recordings go. Slayer was a close second, and the Metallica: Live Shit, Binge & Purge boxed set would come in 3rd for me.

But I don't really like live albums all that much, so...
