My top-two is similar, then it changes a lot - Tristania is somewhere around 20, Dimmu (alongside with Maiden) beyond 50 and Diabolical Masquerade I still don't know (should I? ). The Black League, on the other hand, is not far behind O/DT...

hmmmm........I like tons of stuff including extreme black/death metal, but I grew up with maiden, and I think they r the best heavy metal band in the whole universe..........

no one tops maiden, but my next favorites are iced earth, blind guardian, dark tranquillity, in flames, and metallica

iced earth? hmmm... i dont know why i hate them ;p i had listened to some songs of them and the next day i went to buy dark genesis (5cd), alive in athens (3) and horror show... when i put the cds in the cd player i wanted to CRY FOR MY MONEY!!!!

well Fear of the Dark still has some songs that are incredibly great...the selftitled song is one of their best songs (both live and studio) and Afraid to shoot strangers is also extremely great...

EXACTLY WITH YOU! I thought FotD has some great songs, I like the cheesey love ballad Wasting Love, Fear is the Key is a good song, Afraid to Shoot Strangers is godly, Fear of the Dark is one of Maidens best (possibly one of the best live songs in my mind ever!).........but disliked blaze era maiden, not so much x-factor but viX was horrid. Let us never speak of No Prayer........ever...........
