Indeed. Not like Metallica has had to give a shit for well over a decade now, so practically any cover of their songs is going to be more passionate anyway

people will take any opportunity to bash metallica like theyr'e some kind of pop starts who never deserved their fame...

like it or not, these guys wrote 5 brilliant albums that are played EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME because they are really THAT GOOD!
and they had no slate samples, ne slip editing, no superior drummer, no AUTO-TUNE, they were simply THAT GOOD!

No one said the cover was superior to the original song. That being said, it is better than any performance of the song I've seen since Metallica actually toured for MoP. Their lack of motivation leads to very bland performances now.

Metallica play to a completely different audience now, metalheads are the minority (extreme minority) at their concerts, from my experience anyway.

I can't stand Metallica. I USED to be a Metallica and Slayer fan as a teenager, but I think that was because I didn't have the exposure to other metal bands to realize just how mediocre both bands really were. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and just because someone isn't a Metallica or Slayer fanboy doesn't make them any less of a "metalhead".

i started playing guitar to Metallica, when i got my first guitar i got a Metallica instructional dvd i could play almost every song of the first 3 albums.

im not a fan of most of their instrumentals tho great riffs and music but it really is missing the passion of most of the other songs IMO.
