I would like them better if they remastered their back catalog. Kill 'Em All still costs 18 euro here despite it being released in the stone age, and sounding like it. It's just ridiculous. Every Megadeth release before 1990 costs half that and Megadeth actually bothered to remaster their stuff too (which I haven't heard yet myself, but from what I hear they did a good job and didn't ruin any of the classic material).

Since they obviously suck at making new music, and they obviously love money, why not do this? Easy money and it'd make people like me happy. Ofcourse there's always the risk they'd start fucking with their old material and mess it up.
 
Which brings me to another point.

RACER X. Now theres a thrash band that deserves more recognition than Metallica. Theres a band that cares. Theres a band thats actually worth the 18 Euro. Yet, they're not even half as famous or respected as Shitty, Corny, Snoty, Sell-out Metallica.

And before you even say it. I don't give a rats ass if Metallica was the first trash band. Being the first doesn't make you the best, and Metallica is definitely far from it.

1. It's Megadeth that is cheesy,corny. VERY. Metallica did not turn into Megadeth until St. Anger.

2. Megadeth sold out too.

3. Dave Mustaine can't sing, does not even have a good voice to imrove on to sing. James Hetfield is not Rob Halford but his voice is appealing. He also has the ability to go with the music.


Megadeth and Metallica are both half assed thrash comapared to the genre. It's just Megadeth sucks.

I've been a Metallica fan for 14 years now but I prefer some heavier stuff these days. And being fan of smaller bands is more appealing to me. And Metallica is way too commercial for me.
 
i was appaulled at kirks comments about the traditional solos. He really went down in my estimations. I agree T.I.E. about the 83-88 'tallica was the listenable times. I feel that metallica's talent and ability has been wasted in albums such as Load, Reload and St Anger, and i personally think anyone who likes them albums should be shot. I wish people who say Metallica are shit would go fuck themselves because half of the reason why their beloved bands exist are because bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin etc. inspired them to pick up a guitar in the first place. You guys know im fucking right here! Now close this fucking thread your pissing me off!
