final fantasy like D&D ? you was serious ? i hope not because if so man , you need a serious check up for movie opinions ! final
fantasy was awesome , even tough some stupid ppl that dosent like fantasy movies rated it and that its more sci-fi than the games and also that the story is not the best...but still this movie is a bomb ! was better than lord of the rings in my opinion !
Final Fantasy's graphics were great... but the acting was horrible and the plot was weak... D&D just plain sucked... I'm sorry... Marlon Waynes doesn't belong in a fantasy movie... but how could you forget the second best movie of the year???? (behind LOTR of course)... MEMENTO!!!! If you haven't seen that... wow... you don't know what you're missing!!
hmm, most of my favorites movies are french, does it cout ?
so, here it is :
1. Comment j'ai tué mon père (french)
2. le Placard (french)
3. Tanguy (french)
4. Mulholland Drive
5. The Lord of the Ring
6. Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (french)
7. La Vérité si je mens 2 (french)
Yep, there should be more movies in that list.
@Salamurhaaja: Hmm...I'm just curious....are you a Finn or a Swede..? Just thought about your name, it's Finnish, and then it says you're from Sweden...
The dialogue for Final Fantasy was absolutely appalling. If I see another, "Go on without me." "NO, not without you" when the guy is injured while being chased by monsters, I think I'll go crazy!!
The graphics were fantastic but the American Cliches could have been avoided. They spent too much time and money on it to dumb it down to that level.
I do have to admit that the dubbing work was pretty shoddy (as are most films/moves originating from japan). It detracted form the movie somewhat, but nowhere near enough to make the it unwatchable.
Worst line in the film is a given though: It's two measly words "LOOK OUT!" when they're hooning down the railway tracks in that funky car, and Aki just yells it out. Real bad delivery on that line.
I'm going to say LotR and then Shrek... partially because those are the only films I went to see last year. Both with my boyfriend. I'm not a big cinema-goer. Last movie I saw before Shrek was The Cell, when it had just been released.
Edit: oh. my. god. I had completely forgotten that I even went to see Final Fantasy. I saw you people talking about it and it didn't even ring a bell at first and then I started thinking.. "hmm... didn't Caroline come with us to the movies one time as well? Oh! Right! That... that... computer animated movie... which one was it again?" Doh!
