Astriaal is easily my second best of this year, Anathema just edging it out though.

My biggest dissapointment was the new blood duster, it's shit.

Katatonia- 'Viva Emptiness'

Was that album a grower? I bloody hope so, cause I bought it today after hearing everyone talking it up and I wasn't really digging it in the one solid listen I've given it so far. Some of the lyrics were rather cringe-worthy too.

I certainly won't write it off yet but I reckon Amorphis have got a hand over them in that kinda style of music.

I wasn't even aware Amorphis had a new album until a couple of days ago... is it much different to Am Universum?

I'm one of those goons who didn't like Am Universum all that much but really liked Tuonela.

It's completely different sounding again, It's rockier, nearly all clean vocals. It took a while to grow on me but it's quite good.

It's not as good as Tuenola, but alot better then am universum.

They've definately passed their peak but I thought the newy was a huge improvement on Cunt .

I think cunt was better because you can actually hear some bass on the album. They have lost there edge completely SixSixSixteen is about Tony knocking back a 16 year old chick who wants to fuck him.

It's like they don't want to offend anymore, I think someone got a sniff of cash and is running for the mainstream.
