Metallica were the first and probably still the best band I have seen live. I am still sour about missing 'Deth last year though.

I used to wrk at the Palace on days they had big shows so I always manged to get free tickets and meet the band playing that night......so all is good.

Now here is my take on Slayer:
Show No Mercy - Cool debut, one of my faves by them.
Haunting In The Chapel/Hell Awaits - Boring and crap.
Reign In Blood - Great album
South Of Heaven - A bit "been there done that"
Seasons In The Abyss - Great album
Divine Intervention - Completely "been there done that" feel.
Diabolus/God Hates Us All - "We're out of ideas now as Divine Intervention indicated to clearly, hey I know... let's go all jumpy moshy for the Ozzyfest kiddies"

It just seems to me with Slayer that on the odd occasion that they would write a good album, the next one would end up just being a boring rehash, been there done that.
