T2 by far. but definitely not T3.. a disgrace as far as I'm concerned.
Every classic Trek movie also surpassed the one before it.
Aliens again is a classic.
Also The Naked Gun 2 1/2 and 33 1/3 are better than the original, and some of the funniest movies ever made.

I liked the Godfather II pretty well, but it's not in the league of the first, i don't think. at times, it almost seems to be constructed from scraps that were in the book, but couldn't be squeezed into the first movie. plus, there's no marlon brando.
