Probably my favorite Opeth album although everything they did from 2001-2005 was badass. Like all 5 of the heavy tracks have been in my top 10 Opeth playlist at some time, but I think I have to go with Harlequin. (right now it's Harlequin > Hounds > Mire > Ghost > Conjuration, but Mire was #1 for a bit until I discovered that I could get the best Opeth solos out of Deliverance anyway)

If Harlequin Forest actually beats Ghost of Perdition, Mike owes us all 5 (insert your currency here)

I agree it deserves votes, but its competition is just too good. A good question would be "why has anyone voted for Atonement with 7 clearly superior songs present?"

I personally like when these threads get repeated; it's actually interesting to see how opinions of the masses can noticeably change over time. One time I was going like hundreds of pages back in the forums out of curiosity and found some "favorite song polls" from like 2004, and on the Morningrise, Black Rose Immortal was winning and I think TNATSW was losing...and now, if we look at the "worst song on morningrise" post...yea it's cool to me, w/e

Yeah, after I saw TNATSW live, then again on Roudhouse Tapes, i've looked at it under a new light. I think the production on Morningrise just kills that song unfortunately. The energy and power they play it with live gives that song a new life. They could probably do the same thing for Black Rose Immortal too, I don't know if I would want to see that in action though, i'd rather have 2 kickass 10min songs than BRI...
