Best time to by plugins?

I know that there is the Black Friday sale coming soon but so is xmas so I was wondering if you guys could give any hints as to when the best time to buy is generally speaking?
I want to get a few plugins right now but am holding off just in case so any advice will be awesome thanks.

Depends what you are after. Waves weekend deals are pretty good and IK does half price offers from time to time. I got amplitube a couple of weeks ago when they had their summer deal. Came to less then half price. Best way is to sign up to their newsletter and stay informed and just go for it when a good deal comes up.

In General, just keep upto date with all the newsletters you can, offers are all year round. I should know because this is how I've managed to collect a reasonable array of tools for a lot less money than you may otherwise think. The Audiodeluxe shout by Fixxxer is highly recommended, there is no VAT to pay because there is no physical product, just an email with your product key. For example, I recently got SSD4 Platinum for £63 Sterling with a $15 US voucher which I used toward Melodyne Singletrack that ended up costing around £30 Sterling. It's a win win!

You may want to do a bit of research on a given company before you buy, to see when they've had reductions the last time. Many seem to have a sale only once a year, and others never seem to end them.

For example, I've learned to never ever buy Waves at full price. They pretty much have sales going on on varying products at any given moment. On the other hand, I remember waiting for like 6 months for a Slate sale once. They just had a special going on or are just ending it, so unless there's a change in their marketing strategy, we're probably not going to see slashed prices on Slate products for a while now.

Black friday is certainly something to look forward to when it comes to plugins. Great deals every year.

Unfortunately Slate literally just ended (like two weeks ago) a month or two-month long sale on VBC/VCC/VTM where it was $99, if I recall correctly. I bought it for that much maybe 6 months ago during a spring sale. So you're probably wasting about $20. Just wait until Black Friday.
