For the US residents....

#2 Ramapo, NY (East) <- that's where I live!! :kickass:

This is Money Magazine's "Hottest Towns"....might be useful for NAD if he decides to stay Stateside.

Otherwise, pretty interesting list, and certainly helpful to see potential places of where to live based on income vs. realty, if you're ever thinking about moving.

Both Sugar Land and The Woodlands made it. I grew up on the mean streets of Sugar Land and currently reside in The Lands of Wood. Cool for me.

wescoast #4 Santa Rosa, CA. thats where i lived the first 20 or so years of my life. guess thats why the area is being flooded with assholes from the bay and down south. leave norcal alone, fuckers!

Texas has the best averages when you look at income vs. property. Since it came in at #1, what's Plano like?

Also, Cali-fucking-fornia. What a joke -- on quick scan, they have the most ludicrous average where salary : mortage = 1 : 7

plano is very nice. its a little bit northwest of dallas i believe. overall its pretty clean and classy. hell i don't recall seeing one rundown house or crummy apartment complex there. lots of stuff to do, it has a really really REALLY cool record store thats so elite its only open on saturdays :loco:. it doesn't have the number of mexicans the areas to the south of it do (though i'm sure its just a matter of time). annnnnd...its where absu's from :Spin:

The guy that runs that record store is a DICK. Bastard tries to rip people off on vinyls.

It's fucking ridiculous. Seriously, a house in the fucking DUMP here goes for $300k minimum. I should go down to Romoland and take a picture of what a $400k neighboUrhood looks like. Romoland looks like the fucking movie Tremors and whenever I have to go there, I drive fast and keep my doors locked because it BLOWS.

There are so many god damn people moving here that the housing market can sustain too, and even if NorCal is at least 10x better than down here, it's still expensive as hell and who knows how much longer all the assholes from down south will start flooding up there.

If I stay in the US, I'll be looking somewhere near Seattle or NYC, but it's pretty god damn unlikely. Canada is calling to me.

Romoland houses:

$485,000

$399,999 (what an idiot price, oh it's under $400,000! :bah: )

$395,000

You'll notice these fuckin' things are stacked on top of each other too. WTF OMSDOGMISD FDF LDSAFJLKJSDL JA FF FUCK.

One more quick rant about the housing market, I love the fucking "median home price" bullshit. I don't know about other areas of the country, but what a house lists for here means shit, because they ALL GO UP. Yeah you'll see a house for sale for $290k, but what happens is that 30 to 40 (or more) people bid on it, and all of a sudden that house the owner bought for $150k 5 years ago that lists it for $290k fucking sells it for $380k. It's practically criminal what happens down here, and when the bubble bursts and all these idiots that purchased houses for $500k in a shit area end up having $3500/month mortgages on a house worth less than their 2 cars, I'm going to LAUGH MY FUCKING BALLS OFF. The buyers are who created this mess down here, the sellers just realize what suckers everyone is and take advantage of them.

Oh yeah, and cool, thanks for the link. :loco:

The real estate insanity here scares the hell out of me; I still haven't figured out who in their right mind would pay so much for the shitty houses here, they look plenty big on the outside but on the inside they're cramped and rickety. Another thing that really bothers me is developers are buying up all the agricultural land around here and filling it with these abominations, great idea guys.

Why are so many people moving to California? I can understand why they would in the mid-90's, but I see no sense in it now.

Sun? Surf? Sand? Good Rock 'n Roll scene? Scrumptious Betties to feast the eyes and hands on? Endless Summer?
