One of my best friends loves this band so I have heard all of their older stuff quite a bit. Parallax was ok, but not enough to make me consider myself a fan. Misdirect and colors just never drew me in. Maybe it was the vocals, but I've never really had a problem with growlies. I just feel like the new album is much catchier. Whatever it is, I hope they keep it up!

For me I just didn't like his harsh vocals in particular. Purely a matter of taste. His cleans are pretty damned good though. I'm going to pick this one up with my next batch of tunes.

Fair enough, I hope this album gives you incentive to at least give their other albums another shot.

It's streaming on Bandcamp now for the curious. I ordered my copy from Ken earlier today.

One of my co-workers said he'd never listened to them but that this new album owns, so I'm not the only one. Seems like they will come away from this with a significantly expanded fan base.

Bassist Dan Briggs offers his thoughts and says: "The songs on Coma Ecliptic came together in 2014 (and some of them even earlier than that), so it feels amazing to finally present the album live in full, the way it was intended to be heard. It's our most theatrical album yet and we'll be looking to bring that element to the stage as best we can; not to mention how great it will be to share the stage with Devin + crew again...."
