Beyerdynamic Opus 53 (small condensor mics)

I've got this one in my collection for quite a while now.
And I do have to say that I think they sound pretty good for what you pay for it!
Just wanted to clear this out for people starting to record drums and need budget mics....the babies are great fot the 80 euro's you pay for it!

Curious about anyone else's thoughts

Thanks for the reccomendation, I haven't heard of them. What would you use them on? Overheads? I just read they could be used on snare but since they're not 57s I'm doubting the validaty of my source.

I've actually ave not tried them yet on a snare or tom, just overhead and hi-hats..
I'll make sure i'll give em a test on there this week :Smokin:

Cool, thanks! I read that they have very little bleed from other mics if used on a snare, but I'd guess that it's not very good for METAL snare. Who knows though! Always good to experiment.
