BEYOND FEAR (Ripper's new band)

The guy I work with at the local newspaper is going to review the CD so we listen to the devils music all the time at work. Not the stuff I usually listen to but this one is pretty good.

I'm assuming some of the european Thrax fans were lucky enough to see these guys in action on the tour when they opened.
Just to let all the US fans, the album comes out tomorrow on Tuesday and it's available everywhere else in the world already.
Go support Tim...he's the man...

Yuppers.. seen em play In Glasgow.. they were good live... I just walk into the venue when they came on stage..

Yes, Tim is still with Iced Earth. Jon Schaffer has locked himself away in his basement for the past year though, to pen the next two albums. I don't blame Tim for getting antsy and starting a side project...

:Puke: :Puke: I have seen these guys in in Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp.
My meaning of this band is that the music is pretty good but it all stops when Tim The Rippper opens his mouth. This is so bad, i have no words for this kind of SHIT
Sorry, but if this band wants to have any Future kick the RIPPER out of it!!!........And i mean it!!!!!!:Puke: :Puke:

having seen Ripper perform with Priest at the Agora here in Cleveland (Anthrax opened up) he is an F'n amazing vocalist. I didn't care for the two albums Priest did with him singing (the songwriting sucked) but Live, I dare say having seen Halford open for Queensryche, Tim may be a little better.

Rob Halford still IS the voice of Judas Priest though.

I can't wait for the next Iced Earth cd though.

Yeah, but you can't really attribute that to Ripper. He wasn't even given a chance to write any lyrics while with Priest accept on one bonus track for the Japan release of Demolition...
I'll be the first to admit, the Beyond Fear album isn't amazing in many ways, but man, the opening tune on the album "Scream Machine" is arguably metal song of the year thus far...It's unfortunate the rest of the album doesn't live up to the opening number, but the album is still worth checking out...

I've been listening to this album and I think it's fucking superb. I rather enjoyed Jugulator and most of Demolition (Machine Man was great), and the Iced Earth album he did is decent.
The fact is - hsi vocals are fucking astonishing, I love to listen to him. It really makes me wish I could sing like that, he is fantastic.
If he ever gets the songs to back up his voice he will be a metal legend - and I think this Beyond Fear album is the best thing he's done so far, I really like it. Some excellent playing, and he puts in his usual flawless vocals.

I HATE power metal and singers that sing like poofs (like Helloween and that shite) - but Ripper sounds like a man's man, and I like that. :)
