Anyone else heard the new Metallica EP? It certainly does sound like a bunch of leftover cuts, but it is interesting nonetheless.

I think it is the last song that came out that isn't too bad, seems to 'fit' with the other stuff from Death Magnetic

The first one Hate Train got the worst reception but I think it is possibly the strongest. Will need to listen again though.

Rebel of Babylon is pure awesome. The other tracks I agree sound like DM leftovers but still highly listenable.

I think Rebel of Babylon is the one I am thinking of. But that Hate Train is the one that I think sounds the weakest, maybe with a better recording where they were more than practicing it would sound better

Either way, works for me. It also ties in with their 30th anniversary shows, which sounded amazing btw. Would have loved to be in San Fran last week.
