blabbermouth reviews?

The reviews are always quite lofty, and *surprisingly* even loftier for Roadrunner releases.

But do you want to know THE ABSOLUTE WORST place to get reviews? Revolver.

Scott Alisoglu, or whatever his name is, has pretty good reviews. Keith is ok.
Don Kaye=worst reviewer ever. New Maiden gets a 5.5 and he says Stone Sour is a classic metal band that deserves praise?!?!

The reviews have never bothered me too much, I've read much worse.

I like to follow Terrorizer, it has a good, stable number of reviewers who really know what they're talking about.

I gotta agree with the new Maiden review. Don't like the new album...there's nothing memorable on it and Bruce obviously doesn't have the range anymore. Ok, he's 50, but still...

Musicianship-wise, it's a decent album...very dark. But everything summed up? Nah. I'll go listen to Powerslave.

It's an album that has to take time to grow on you, but I simply adore it. It seems people either love it or hate it. I thought it was very memorable, and that was even before seeing it live.
I do agree that Bruce didn't sound too great on that album, but you should have heard him live. Holy shit, not only did he sound better than he ever did on stage, he sounded as good as he did on the Brave New World album (the title track off that album has my favorite vocal performance from Bruce's entire career)!

Wow...but that doesn't surprise me about Iron Maiden. They ARE heavy metal. No one compares to them. They started the heavy metal cliche.
