I'm looking for albums that combine 2 of my favourite genres. It doesn't matter if they lean more heavily towards one genre or the other.

I'm not looking for blackened death metal like Behemoth or Belphegor, unless you think it's much better than those examples.

I am also not looking for the melodic black/death stuff like Sacramentum, Dawn, Vinterland, Dissection, etc since I am familiar with most of that stuff.

Thanks, I knew you'd have some good stuff.

I'm already familiar with Darkness Eternal, Nox Intempesta and Nazxul. I'll look into the rest!

Edit:

Fermenting Innards - Myst

Sampling some tracks off this first because I've never even heard of it. This is exactly the type of genre mixing I was looking for. Why is this not more well known? Guessing it's nearly impossible to find a copy of.

Myst is good stuff, doubt that many people know about it though.

Appreciated the atmosphere on that one, but it seemed a bit of a cacophony on first listen. However, I did listen to it on my phone which might be part of the reason for that. I'll listen later with headphones on my PC.

Any other suggestions? Really enjoyed all of Slayed Necros' recommendations (that I didn't already know) especially Avenger and
Fermenting Innards. The Lucifyre was good too but I'm not so much in the mood for that type of violent, swirling chaos at the minute.

Keep an eye out on eBay and discogs and you'll eventually pick it up at a reasonable price. Doesn't seem to be particularly sought after.

Here's a few more. I'm guessing you'll already be familiar with some of these too:

Amon - Shemhamforash

Really love the sloppy ineptitude of this. Definitely not for everyone.

Ancient Rites - The Diabolic Serenades

I thought this may be too obvious, but most people seem to completely ignore it and/or cry about the triggers and vocals. One of the best examples imo and a personal favourite.

Belial - Gods of the Pit / Wisdom of Darkness

Mythos - Pain Amplifier

Necromass - Abyss Calls Life

I was already familiar with the debut and I'm a fan. I haven't listened to the second album, but that song Slayed Necros posted from it is pretty damn good so maybe I should.

That's a big list Morguelord! I'm familiar with most of it, but there are a few bands on there that I haven't heard. I remember Below by Lantern being quite hyped when it came out but it didn't do much for me.
