Black N' Roll is cool

They haven't been on an NS label since their second demo... And if this is what you think Black N' Roll is, UGH.

examples of "Black N Roll" (Kinda hate the term, but oh well) is:

(Granted, one could argue this is more of Black Punk... but then we're getting way too far into it)

Vreid's Pitch Black Brigade album is probably the best example of it in the modern era.

And of course you could go way back back and throw Bathory's Requiem and Octagon in the mix, as then toss Venom's first few and a chunk of Motorhead's 80's material in as the origination/inspiration of the style.

Anyway enough lame genre-shit... album blows. "Hey look at us, we're dark prog rockers now, experimental and spooky and shit". Fuck that.

yes, the song i posted is black n roll. a few of the songs you posted are surely NOT black n roll. but who cares. and i used the wrong verb, originally. was on a pro-white label.

In order for something to be "blacknroll" there has to be some aspect of the whole "black" part in there. Which there is not one single aspect of black metal in the entire Nachtmystium album. It's proggy industrial rock/metal (and poorly done at that).

Where as, with all examples I included (which ones are you saying aren't, btw? I bet you're going to say the Taake track), there are aspects of both the black metal genre and the rock n roll genre. Thus making them "blacknroll".

at first I thought this thread said Ratt n' roll and I got excited, way to let me down. that said they're playing a small venue near me (talk about a huge drop from arenas) and I'm probably not going because I can't even begin to imagine how horrid the vocals probably are now and would haunt my memories every time I listen to them.

I must be guzzling queerjuice then because I love Ratt haha, up through Invasion of your privacy they had awesome riffs, catchy hooks, unique vocals, insanely ridiculous shredding solos and were just fun. I can't imagine anyone going to see any of the glam bands now because all the excess of the 80s plus totally being out of music for the most part probably made all of them suck (definitely made motley crue an abomination)

So Nachmystium doesn't deploy black metal vocals in their music? Vocals are an instrument, numbnuts.
