I never took a creative writing class, but I enjoyed my English classes more than any other in college, most of which had moderately eccentric instructors. I even kept most of the books because I find it wrong to sell literature. I also hope to eventually find a secure job and write as a hobby.
But who cares about all that, Nevermore has a second guitarist again.
I started off as a computer science major, switched to unofficial undecided (didn't want to pay the $4 paperwork fee to change majors, so I just stopped taking computer science classes ), and somehow wound up with a political science degree. That involved tons of writing, which is probably responsible for this whole Royal Carnage thing.
Speaking of Burroughs, I finished Naked Lunch the other day. What a FUCKED up book!
