My comments are mainly tongue and cheek, I pretty much listen to Still Life and Orchid only these days anyways.

I listened to Still Life two days ago and it felt flat and lifeless. This is coming from someone who loved this album several years back. I fear putting on any more of their albums would result in the fond sentiments in which I hold for their discography wilting like a rose given to Jean L'Cest by the hand of Susperia. Though, I'm fairly certain Orchid through MAYH are fairly untouchable and will stand the test of time for many years to come. I'll let the months pass before I put that statement to the test.

Yea they really are melding into one another lately. Although, the latest Opeth bored me to tears, while I thought "Fear of a Blank Planet" was rather good.

I really enjoyed Fear of a Blank Planet at first, and then one day it just stopped entertaining me. The only track I can still listen to from the album is Anesthetize.

And For Ghost Reveries, I like the first track for some odd reason, but the rest of the album bores me to tears.

Wow, a clear consensus for Blackfield I! I shall check out that one, and then explore II if I works out.

And yeah, I agree that Opeth ruined themselves, long before Wilson came along. Like, halfway through MAYH, I think.

If you're just giving them away, I'll take em. Though I recommend holding on to them as amoeba/trade bait down the line. That's what I'd do with them if you give em to me.
