Blind Guardian

I don't know how much I like their older albums, but I think I listened to them expecting to hear their present greatness. It just bothers me a lot when I listen to stuff off of Batallions of Fear or Follow The Blind.

Explain? Those are awesome Speed Metal albums.

I'm not saying they're bad at all... they're just way different from their new stuff and I think I expected it to sound that way when I first listened to it

hehehe...Well, I guess that makes sense. You've heard Helloween - Walls of Jerhico right? That sums up the first two Blind Guardian albums, Deutsch Speed Metal at its best.

I'm not sure if I've heard this song, but Helloween is pretty cool.

Hehe, "Walls of Jerhico" is an album. If you drop me a line I can send you some songs, it's one of the greatest Speed Metal albums ever, and the only Helloween album to have Kai Hansen as the frontman.

Yep, great speed metal album. Walls of Jericho is the only Helloween album I like. Kiske's(SP?) vocals really turned me off of them on Keeper pts 1 and 2.

Yeah, he really is an aquired taste. I've always been more for the gritty in your face-ness of Lord Hansen.
