BLOODSTOCK 02 PRESS RELEASE

German Metallers BLIND GUARDIAN are confirmed to headline the 2nd BLOODSTOCK UK - Metal Festival to be held at the Assembly Rooms in Derby, UK on Saturday 31st August 2002.

This show will be BLIND GUARDIAN's first ever show in the UK, for which they will be bringing over their full European Production, and will be in support of their new CD "A Night At The Opera" released by Virgin Records in March 2002. This will then become BLIND GUARDIAN's first official long-overdue UK release on 1st April 2002.

BLIND GUARDIAN, who have also been confirmed as the headliner for this years premier outdoor festival at WACKEN in Germany, have always stated that they will only offer shows where their full stage production can be realised. The BLOODSTOCK festival is therefore the only UK event capable of offering the show to their UK fans.
