Bob Dylan: modern recordings sound "atrocious"

No problem guys I'm gonna hiring this guy for killing that tart

I've hated Bob Dylan since we were forced to listen to him by an old school teacher when I was 8 years old. Apparently he's not using triggers on his new album tho.....

i was forced by my father and hated him for that.
at first. over the years as i listened to mostly metal,
dylan grew on me. but i hear his new album was mixed by tue madsen,
so i guess they will at least replace the doublebass.

I hope that when I'm 65 years old that I hate modern recodring too for two reasons

1) I am already using my right as a middle twenties chump to hate teenagers - yeah!
2) it means things would have changed (for better or worse) and emo would have joined the big hit factory in the sky!

Noting the music industry's complaints that illegal downloading means people are getting their music for free, he said, "Well, why not? It ain't worth nothing anyway."

Easy to say when youve already made your millions before downloading was possible

Downloading has changed the way people in this business make money - for better or worse I don't know - but what an arrogant old coot Dylan must be to not realise that the only reason he is where is - is because of the narrow market and media focus on a few artists that existed in his time. No wonder people like Warhol took the piss out of him. Knob end - a poet yes and some of the best covers are his originals but what a itchy arsehole he is.

As if anything Dylan has ever said has ever been worth listening to, or even intelligible. The only Dylan song that's even listenable is the Hendrix cover of All Along the Watchtower...and even that's of obviously lower caliber than the things Jimi wrote.

Arlo Guthrie at least smiled and had fun once in a while.

ok like him or not, he's more than earned to speak his mind, and, let's face it, he does have a point. of course you mustn't take his words literally (obviously it's not the cd's - in itself, as a medium - fault, it's really about the mastering process) and must take his musical taste into consideration (of course he doesn't have a clue about metal, and why should he)...

bearing this in mind, and the fact that he's a 65yo fart, he sounds pretty reasonable to me :D

An old ex-gf dragged me to see Dylan in Sydney many moons ago (thank god she paid) as no one else would go with her and I actually fell asleep. Now I can't sleep on long haul flights, or anywhere unfamiliar, but put me in an arena with Bob Dylan and 8000 suckers and I was out like a light....

Patti Smith was the support and at least she kept me awake, but my god, Dylan was boring as hell.

Years ago I dozed off in the third row during an Opeth set. :zombie: last band of a long festival day + long songs I wasn't familiar with at the time + theater seating = lights out!

I remember as I was losing the battle to keep my eyes open and head upright all I could think was, "Shit, the singer's looking right at me."
