Boobs & Metal?

Hi new friends-

I'm a burlesque performer in Chicago and I just joined a show where we are doing burlesque routines based on our favorite horror films. Mine is Carrie. Nothing hotter than dumping blood over myself and setting fire to the stage, right? So, I'm wanting to use a really fantastic metal song to accompany this. The problem? I'm not well versed in metal, especially really heavy metal. I enjoy a lot of it, but usually lighter stuff, and I'm looking for something really dark and awesome for my act.

What I need specifically: I would like something with a heavy bass line (good for bumping and grinding) and a dark theme. Not too fast, not too slow, and around 3 minutes in length, or at least something that is easy to cut down. I figured that you all would be able to make some good suggestions. What would you like to see? Thanks everyone!

First song I thought of when you said bass line was Sadistic Intent by Sinister, not sure if it's what you're looking for though. Check it out.

P.S. it would be a good idea to post a video of your dance routine, to help us give you better recommendations.

Hey! You guys are awesome! Thanks for answering my question!! Right now, I'm leaning toward "Sadistic Intent" by Sinister, followed closely by "Rabid" by Katalepsy. Dark, I know! They were all really great suggestions though, and I really appreciate everyone who answered.

I can't post my dance routine yet, because I don't have it! We usually choreograph to the music. I'm not even sure how much dancing it will be, and how much rolling in blood and using flashpaper it will be! How exciting.

And sure, I will share some pics. I'm not terribly hardcore looking, but I'm hoping in a blond wig covered in blood, I will be pretty scary! I'm going to post a g-rated photo, since I'm not sure what the rules are for that sort of thing here. Thanks again, ya'll!

If you want something on the catchier side, try this. It has a prominent bassline and is pretty danceable. Not sure if the lyrics really work for what you're doing, but it's a fun song:



If you're willing to try an industrial song that sounds fairly "metal", this next one pretty much fits a stripshow like a glove, and has a really steamy atmosphere. It's a cover of a Rod Stewart song. I wish I could find the music video for it because it's hilarious.



Note: the correct spelling of the song is "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?"
