Yeah, rhythm guitars sound a bit fucking weird.
And what the hell is with that bit at 3:14 and then it suddenly stopping for half a second? That just sounds really terrible, really can't understand why a band would think that sounds good.
Not including that bit there, the song isn't bad I guess. Pretty damn techy and some cool grooves.

bulb version was better

edit: wait, IS this the bulb version?

anyway, the synths are what annoys me the most, i love synths, but the choice of sounds doesn't fit very well imo

I doubt it, every mix that guy's done sounds exactly the fucking same, even if its not a band that needs the kind of sound he gets in his mixes.
But, I could be totally, totally wrong.

Don't think its bulb.. I remember a thread some weeks (months ?) ago where the guy doing this posted a few replys.

The guitars is all axefx if im not mistaken.. also remember they said they were going for a analog sound with lots of real tapes and so on.

Cant listen here at work, so not sure how it actual turned out.

On my cheap work headphones something sounds really boxy about the whole mix but i will give it another listen when I get back.

What with all the rattling from the bass? is it a percussion instrument or something?

Not bulb obviously. Some dude tracked it and it was mixed by either jason suecof or mark lewis.

Also... "going for a natural sound with real tapes and shit" but using axe-fx for guitars as well as those super edited takes? Talk about irony... This band is seriously lame, horrible music IMO!

This band seems absolutely determined to get rid of every scrap of originality and individuality they had on the first album.

Key rape. This is just the single though, they probably released this for the high population of Rise kids in the scene.
