Born Of Osiris - Machine cover

Hi guys :worship:

I done this cover couple days ago, but how you can see there is no solo part and vocals. Maybe someone have superskill to play solo or vocals? :D

From the technical side I used to record my old guitar witch EMG 81 pickups.
Signal chain looks something like this:
iRig HD -> iPad Mini Retina -> JamUp Pro Loomis Metal Amp -> Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 -> DAW

Bass track is pitch down electric guitar track and some comp and EQs

Drums - Superior Drummer TMF :)

Enjoy :)

PS. I also count on good advice :Smokedev:

I wouldn't think they use jam up to record but just
because it says Loomis on the tin, it does not mean it will sound the same
with all DIs/setups (and how good the preset/software sounds to begin with, I honestly don't know).

Since the playing is good, I don't think it will be long before you figure
out the sound part. Uploading DIs or changing your setup slightly/experimenting with EQ might help.

Cheers

I'd totally be willing to put in the leads/vocals for fun haha. Personally I never trusted mobile rigs like iRig, etc. Try using some other cab, or cutting 350-600Hz somewhere to clear up some of that boxiness

Aaaaaaand done, and I EQ'd the the track to cut out that boxiness that was there

Hey mate,
I did that, I cuted boxy freq on guitars and all mix. I think that sounds much better than earlier. Additionally I fixed terrible midi dynamics and added some Eq on bass guitar

Have you tried Ampkit for iOS? it might be better for this sound.

Good playing and/or editing ! ;)
Though I find B.O.O. extremely boring - one riff band.
