Boss DS-2 Turbo distortion

Any thoughts at all? REckon it could be used as an equal to a tube screamer well?

Maybe the Turbo Mode on it can do something for you - haeven't tested it myself.
The Normal Mode is the same as the DS-1 which totally sucks as a tubesreamer replacement (just sold mine on ebay).

That's funny, I tried it last week-end in front of a framus dragon lead channel. Interesting but not great. I also tried a Boss bass overdrive, an Ibanez smash box and even a MT2 (I hate it but never tried it as an overdrive so far). The smash box was great. Fatter and more controled bass and smoother high end.

alrite guys, thanks. I've just been testing it for an hour here through the 5150 and its tightened up the sound fairly nicely. It seems a bit thin, and whilst getting tighter loaded it with hi's that i didnt seem to like the sound of. Next up, tube screamer i think.
