It took me some time to get into DHiaDW, but once you get into it, you really like the album. More commercial than their other stuff, but still has solid songs.

As for EoR, maybe you should try hearing the remaster.

Heard it enough, it sucks. When compared to Dreaming Neon Black, it's existence shouldn't even be.

Maybe I've already heard the reMIX, think it sounds good, but still think the album blows.

Gotta go with JP here. Dead Heart had its moments, EoR didn't do much for me. It's ok but just nothing when compared to Dreaming Neon Black. I even dig some of their older stuff more so than EoR or Dead Heart. The new one I need to listen to a bit more. A couple of the tunes could almost pass for being on the first album.

yea, he's one of metal's elite guitarists now doubt. my personal fave as well.

all nevermore albums are good. i dont see why people dump on dead heart or enemies. sure, dead heart is more accessible but who cares. the songs are great and the individual performances are amazing. engines of hate is loomis's best solo ever and the heart collector is the best ballad in the history of metal IMO. and a kick ass opener in narcosynthesis. you got yourself a solid record right there. EOR only got dumped on because of the production but thats fixed now and the album sounds awesome. the songs are really strong...heavy as hell and melodic to boot. never purify and tomorrow turned into yesterday are great.

i bought the new album today so im gonna go listen to that and let it soak in.

I used to like Dead Heart, but after time it got a bit boring. It is OK, but not great. I like what I have heard EOR (never heard the remix). The new one is absolutely killer. I have DNB and it is a great album...I have just listened to it too many times.

I just read an Interview with Jeff Loomis, He says he could play Yngwie Malmsteen's Trilogy when he was 14.

Nevermore is a giant pile of overrated crap a la Jag Panzer only on an infinitely greater scale, and Sentient 6 is particularly fecal.

honky lol
but Jag Panzer is way underrated, Chris Broderick is one of the top 5 guitar players playing with a band.

You're such a honky.

Nevermore and Jag Panzer are where I draw the line.

I've heard the promo track off TGE, "Final Product" and it was alright... Is this album really as amazing as everyone says? Was that a bad track to judge the album by?

I almost turned away from Nevermore after hearing the title track off EoR, but then the fell under the spell of the River Dragon and tracks off TPoE and DNB.

And what's this about Jag Panzer?

Actually I started listening to Jag Panzer again (The Fourth whatever it's called) and quite enjoyed it. :|

Dodens–Thane To the Throne. I didn't like Panzer much either until I listened to that album.

Nick–yes, it is that fucking amazing. "Final Product" is a good song, but doesn't go anywhere near showing the amazing depths of this album. Check out the title track, "Sentient 6," and "Medicated Nation."
