Bounce/Render problem

I use reaper and I just finished out a mix with two new mastering plugs I just got.
T-racks and Elephant
the track is sounder super huge!!! and then....
I go to render it and as an MP3 it seems to have lowered the volume of my drums and vocals. I was confused and I tried to troubleshoot, so I rendered as a wave figuring that a .WAV was better than a .MP3 and there it was, my beautiful track!!!
but I need it as a smaller file so I was wondering if any of you guys know what is going on

if this has anything to do with bit rate ima be pissed off at MP3s

try a different mp3 encoder see if it still happens

what is another good MP3 encoder?
i have the lame.dll or whatever
and it makes the kick feel shallow

EDIT: and I've never had problems with this one until now
should i just take the .WAV and throw it into logic and bounce it?

I had a similar problem with Reaper and rendering to .MP3 until I discovered that I had it set to like 192kbs or whatever instead of highest quality.

I made sure to turn mine up to highest =/

I imported the wav to logic and this is what I got

if anyone know whats going on I would love some help and not have to import to logic every time

VBR renders always fuck with me. Use ABR and keep the bit rate above 192, maybe closer to 320.
