I use reaper and I just finished out a mix with two new mastering plugs I just got.
T-racks and Elephant
the track is sounder super huge!!! and then....
:erk: I go to render it and as an MP3 it seems to have lowered the volume of my drums and vocals. I was confused and I tried to troubleshoot, so I rendered as a wave figuring that a .WAV was better than a .MP3 and there it was, my beautiful track!!!
but I need it as a smaller file so I was wondering if any of you guys know what is going on

what is another good MP3 encoder?
i have the lame.dll or whatever
and it makes the kick feel shallow

EDIT: and I've never had problems with this one until now
should i just take the .WAV and throw it into logic and bounce it?

I had a similar problem with Reaper and rendering to .MP3 until I discovered that I had it set to like 192kbs or whatever instead of highest quality.
