Bouncing tracks reamping Q?

Do you have to bounce your reamped tracks whenever recording the reamp or can you just record the track in the project?

Record right into project. I disable the clean DI tracks once I am done.

Or you could leave the DI tracks there, at lower volume, to bring a bit more pick attack to the guitar sound

He is serious. It's a valid technique that sounds pretty good.

Yeah, that is actually a good little trick that I have heard of before. There is also the trick that I think 311 used once where the engineer mic'ed the guitar (like you would an acoustic) with a couple of condensors as Navarro? played the tracks, and then blended that in with the mic'ed amp tracks. I have yet to try either of these methods but someday...

I have tried this on one project. Works especially well on really fast parts with a lot of distortion, it adds a lot of clarity to the picking. I think I just highpassed it at 200hz and blended it so it just barely audible.
