Hi everyone,

I am trying some reamping with my Pod Pro rack and have recorded quad tracks of the guitars.

Now what I need to know is, do I:

1) send a signal from the desk to my amps for reamping the di tracks?

or

2) send a signal from the desk to my Pod Pro and then to the amps for reamping?

Also I have tried boosting amps for live work but never really liked, or should I say never felt like I needed it.

However for recording would it be better to boost while reamping tracks or is it just personnal preference?

Should I record 4 tracks of each guitar part? there are two guitars in the band so do i record reamp 4 tracks of each or only two of each?

Cheers look forward to youyr replies.

Can anyone tell me if that s ok please.

Can I not send a aux line level signal of the di tracks I want to reamp and send them straight to which ever amps I want to put them into?

Please help someone?

Thanks

because an amp is made to accept an instrument signal level(low voltage, high impedance)

the signal off your console will have more juice, and less impedance, which will throw off the amp. you need the re-amp box there to convert the signal to the proper level/impedance before it goes back into the amp.

I should be able to send the aux send from my desk to my pod and then to my amp, though right?

And if so do I, send from desk to line level input on Pod,

then out of the unprocessed guitar output of the Pod to my amp?
